Pleated Filter Manufacturing Industry Machines and Solutions

Pleated Filters

Streamlining Filter Production through Automation.

Massman Automation offers a wide range of filter assembly equipment from semi-automatic to fully automatic models. These systems utilize metal clips, hot melt adhesives, or ultrasonic welding as the method of connecting the filter media or equipment to completely assemble the entire filter cartridge, including the center tube, end caps, and housing.

How Automated Filter Assembly Machines Play a Role in the Filtration Manufacturing Industry

Automated filter assembly machines are essential to efficient, high-quality filter production across a wide range of applications. Massman filter assembly equipment handles every stage of the process, from forming and seaming pleated media to assembling end caps and complete filter cartridges. Whether semi-automatic or fully automatic, these systems support consistent output, reduced labor costs, and tight dimensional tolerances.

Massman filtration manufacturing machines have many applications. Choose the technology that suits your production needs depending on your filter type and assembly requirements:

  • Automatic Cartridge Assembly Machinery (ACAM) – The WB-ACAM is a fully-automatic machine direct fed from a rotary or blade pleater. It forms the cylindrical filter shape, inserts an optional center tube, seams the end pleats, and funnels the filter to its specified outside diameter — cycling at speeds up to 30–60 ppm.
  • Manual Cartridge Assembly Machinery (MCAM) – The MCAM-1300 is a semi-automatic, manual load machine for first and last pleat seaming. It accommodates cellulose, synthetic, or wire back media and features PLC-controlled, HMI-interfaced servos for changeovers in as little as 20 seconds.
  • End Cap Assembly Machinery (ECAM) – Available in semi-automatic or fully automatic configurations, the ECAM handles end caps in metal, plastic, moldable adhesive, or felt across a range of diameters. Servo-driven changeovers often take under one minute, with cycle rates up to 60 ppm.
  • F-600 and F-1200 Forming Cartridge Assembly Machines (FCAM) – A low-cost, ergonomically friendly solution for forming pleated filter media from a flat block into a cylindrical shape. Ideal for oil, gas, water, and air filter assembly, these machines improve production flexibility while reducing manufacturing costs.
