How It Works

Our 40 LB Cheese Block Case Packer is equipped with a collar inserter. Cheese blocks enter the machine with the narrow side leading and pass through a collar inserter and are loaded into wrap-around collars. The collar provides support and structure to the cheese block during the packing process, helping to maintain the integrity of the freshly pressed cheese.

Next, cheese blocks are cross-pushed into staged wrap-around case blanks and sealed as the major and minor flaps are compressed. The case magazine features a dual-driven change case system that helps keep the front end (the first collar) flat as the product moves through and into the case. As the product enters the case, the collar and wrap-around mechanism help square the case, ensuring a more uniform, tight shape for the 40 LB cheese block.

Compression at the glue station further ensures precise squaring of both the case and the cheese allowing for consistent, 24/7 production with minimal trim waste. The final sealing of the case happens at the manufacturing joint as it exits the machine.
